PRIVACY POLICY

Last Updated: October 3, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Pierce Patrick, doing business as Business Golf Club (“Business Golf Club,” “BGC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with https://businessgolf.club, membership applications, member profiles, matching and round coordination, communications, events, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

1. DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICE

BGC is a curated golf membership and networking service. Members may submit applications and profile information, receive invitations or matches for golf rounds, communicate with BGC about availability and tee times, attend events, and interact with other members. Providing the Service requires BGC to process certain personal information.

2. HOW WE OBTAIN PERSONAL INFORMATION

We collect personal information primarily: (a) directly from you when you apply, create or update a profile, purchase a membership, communicate with us, confirm or attend a round, submit feedback, or report a concern; (b) automatically when you use the Website or digital services; and (c) from service providers or third parties when reasonably necessary to operate the Service, such as payment processors or referral sources.

You may choose not to provide certain information, but doing so may prevent BGC from evaluating your application, creating appropriate matches, arranging rounds, processing payments, or providing certain features.

3. PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Depending on how you use the Service, BGC may collect the following categories of information:

  • Identity and contact information, such as name, email address, phone number, age or confirmation that you are at least 18, and general city or metropolitan area.
  • Professional and membership-application information, such as company, job title, industry, business type, professional background, professional interests, reasons for joining, and information you voluntarily provide in an application or profile.
  • Golf and matching information, such as handicap or approximate skill level, golf experience, preferred days and times, course preferences, budget, travel radius, walking or riding preferences, pace-of-play preferences, and other information used to create groups.
  • Round and event information, such as invitations, confirmations, cancellations, no-shows, attendance, member feedback, and other information related to rounds or events you participate in.
  • Payment and transaction information. Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe may collect payment-card and billing information directly. BGC may receive transaction status, subscription level, billing history, and limited payment-related information, but BGC does not directly receive or store your full payment-card number.
  • Communications and support information, including emails, text messages, survey responses, feedback, customer-support requests, safety reports, and other communications with BGC.
  • Website and device information, which may include IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, timestamps, cookies, and similar technical or usage information if such technologies are enabled.
  • Information from referrals or other third parties when you or another person asks us to contact you, subject to applicable law.

BGC does not need your Social Security number, bank-account credentials, medical records, or other highly sensitive information to provide ordinary membership services. Please do not send such information unless BGC specifically requests it for a legitimate purpose and provides an appropriate explanation.

4. HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION

BGC may use personal information to:

  • review and administer membership applications;
  • create, maintain, and authenticate member profiles or accounts;
  • match members and organize golf rounds, groups, tee times, and events;
  • share limited information with matched members so they know who they are playing with and can coordinate the round;
  • process memberships, payments, billing, refunds, credits, and related transactions;
  • send application updates, round invitations, tee-time details, schedule changes, support messages, and other administrative communications;
  • send marketing communications where permitted by law and in accordance with your communication preferences;
  • provide customer support, collect feedback, improve matching, improve the Service, and understand member engagement;
  • detect, investigate, prevent, or respond to fraud, abuse, safety concerns, Code of Conduct violations, legal claims, or security incidents;
  • comply with applicable law, valid legal process, and enforceable contractual obligations;
  • protect the rights, safety, property, and integrity of BGC, its members, golf courses, and others; and
  • create aggregated or de-identified analytics that do not reasonably identify an individual.

5. HOW WE SHARE PERSONAL INFORMATION

BGC may disclose personal information in the following circumstances:

  • Matched members. We may share limited profile information - for example, first and last name, professional information, golf-related information, and other details reasonably useful for the round - with members you are matched or grouped with. BGC limits these disclosures to information reasonably necessary for the member experience.
  • Golf courses and event providers. We may provide names, contact details, reservation information, or other information needed to book or administer a tee time or event.
  • Service providers. We may share information with vendors that help us operate the Service, including Stripe for payment processing and providers that support website hosting, databases, communications, analytics, customer support, scheduling, or security.
  • Professional advisers. We may share information with attorneys, accountants, insurers, consultants, or other advisers when reasonably necessary for legitimate business purposes.
  • Legal and safety disclosures. We may disclose information if we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, or a valid government request, or is necessary to investigate fraud, enforce our policies, protect safety, or defend legal rights.
  • Business transfers. If BGC is involved in a sale, merger, financing, reorganization, acquisition, or transfer of all or part of the business, personal information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate protections and applicable law.
  • At your direction or with your consent. We may share information when you ask us to or otherwise give permission.

BGC does not sell personal information for money. If BGC engages in activities that are treated as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under applicable law, BGC will provide any notices and opt-out rights required by law.

6. MEMBER PROFILE PRIVACY AND NETWORKING

Because BGC is designed to facilitate introductions, some profile information may be intentionally shared with members you are matched with. Information you voluntarily disclose to another member in person, by email, text, social media, or another off-platform method is generally outside BGC’s control. Use discretion before sharing confidential business information, financial information, home addresses, travel details, or other sensitive information.

Members are expected to comply with the BGC Code of Conduct and may not scrape, compile, sell, or misuse member information or use the community as a mass-marketing or prospecting database.

7. COOKIES AND DIGITAL TRACKING

The Website may use essential cookies and, if enabled, analytics or similar technologies to remember preferences, maintain security, understand Website usage, and improve performance. Where applicable law requires consent or an opt-out for non-essential tracking, BGC will provide the required controls.

Browser “Do Not Track” signals are not interpreted uniformly across the industry. BGC may not respond to traditional DNT signals unless required by law. If BGC becomes subject to a legal requirement to honor recognized universal opt-out signals, such as Global Privacy Control, it will implement the required mechanism.

8. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The Service may link to or integrate with third-party services, including Stripe for payment processing and other providers used for forms, communications, scheduling, analytics, hosting, or golf-course booking. Those services may collect information under their own privacy policies. BGC is not responsible for a third party's independent privacy practices.

9. DATA RETENTION

BGC retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain legitimate business records, enforce agreements, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, comply with legal obligations, and protect safety. Retention periods may vary based on the type of information and the reason it was collected.

When personal information is no longer reasonably needed, BGC may delete, anonymize, or securely retain it as required or permitted by law. Backup copies may remain temporarily until overwritten under normal backup cycles.

10. SECURITY

BGC uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information it handles. However, no Internet transmission, storage system, or security measure can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for using reasonable care when sharing information and for safeguarding any account credentials.

11. YOUR CHOICES AND PRIVACY RIGHTS

You may contact BGC to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information, subject to applicable law, identity verification, and legitimate exceptions. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to obtain a portable copy of certain data, opt out of certain processing, limit the use of certain sensitive information, or appeal a privacy-request decision.

BGC will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights provided by applicable law. Some information may need to be retained despite a deletion request, including information required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, safety, dispute resolution, or recordkeeping.

To submit a privacy request, email hello@businessgolf.club with the subject line “Privacy Request.” BGC may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before completing the request.

12. CALIFORNIA AND OTHER U.S. STATE PRIVACY DISCLOSURES

Residents of California and certain other U.S. states may have additional privacy rights when applicable legal requirements and coverage thresholds are met. Depending on the law, these rights may include access, correction, deletion, portability, and the right to opt out of certain sales, sharing, or targeted advertising. BGC will honor privacy rights required by applicable law.

13. CHILDREN

The Service is intended for adults age 18 and older and is not directed to children. BGC does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If BGC learns that it collected personal information from a child in violation of applicable law, it will take reasonable steps to delete the information.

14. EMAIL AND SMS PREFERENCES

You may unsubscribe from marketing email by using the unsubscribe mechanism provided in the message. If BGC sends marketing text messages, you may use the opt-out instructions provided in those messages, such as replying STOP where supported. BGC may continue to send non-marketing messages reasonably necessary to administer your membership, process transactions, respond to support requests, or coordinate a confirmed round, subject to applicable law.

15. TESTIMONIALS, PHOTOS, AND PUBLICITY

BGC will not use your name, identifiable testimonial, photo, video, or likeness in public marketing merely because you are a member. If BGC wants to use identifiable member content for promotional purposes, BGC will obtain any permission required by applicable law and the circumstances. Event photography notices or separate media releases may be used where appropriate.

16. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

BGC may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law. The “Last Updated” date at the top of the policy indicates when it was most recently revised.
